Miles Roberts, Group Chief Executive of DS Smith, visited the plant of DS Smith Packaging Madrid, which is also the central headquarters of the Iberia region.
During this visit, representatives from the management teams both from the plant and the corporate office of the company in the region had the opportunity to exchange viewpoints and share their vision on the challenges and opportunities that await them in the Packaging division in Iberia.
Additionally, from the point of view of the factory, the investment plans approved for the upcoming years were displayed in detail. The expected investment in the Madrid plant, over Euro 10 million, will without a doubt contribute to the objective to turn DS Smith into the leading company on the market in Iberia.
The Iberia region made up of Spain and Portugal is strategic for DS Smith since it is one of the main European markets in the Corrugated Cardboard sector and it also has significant outlooks for growth. DS Smith acquired Lantero Embalaje in August 2015.
