DS Smith Plc has reached an agreement to acquire Gopaca in Portugal. The business is a well-invested corrugated producer, located near Porto, Portugal and employs 135 people, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The acquisition strengthens DS Smith's operations in Iberia, an important and growing market for corrugated packaging, and further increases its Pan-European customer offering.
The acquisition is subject to competition clearance, which is expected during 3Q 2016 with completion shortly thereafter.
