The Managing Director of Dieffenbacher India Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Ravichandra Tavag, entered a well-deserved retirement on December 31, 2017. Mr. Tavag served the company for more than 10 years. He was deeply involved in successfully establishing Dieffenbacher India Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru in 2007, and his contributions enabled the Dieffenbacher Group to make remarkable strides in the Indian board industry.
During Mr. Tavag’s tenure, Greenply Industries Limited purchased in 2008 India’s first ever CPS continuous press for the panel industry, doubling MDF production in India. Other key transactions included Associate Décor’s (former Star Panel) purchase of India’s first CPS continuous press for particleboard and Rushil Décor order in 2010 of an MDF line in Chikmagalur. Most recently, in 2015, Greenply placed a repeat order for a 1,300 m³/d MDF plant in Srikalahasti. Currently under construction, the plant will include Asia’s longest press.
The Dieffenbacher Group welcomed Mr. Sachin Pendharkar as a new Director at Dieffenbacher India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Pendharkar gained experience in other sectors of the Indian wood industry and last served another German machinery manufacturer.
