Kährs Group's 1Q 2017 net sales amounted to SEK 782 million ($90 million), an increase of SEK 87 million ($10 million), or 13% compared with the 1Q 2016. The increase in sales can be attributed to a stable and favourable trend in all four operating segments, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

1Q 2017 operating profit (EBIT) was SEK 63 million ($7.2 million), or 8.1%. This improvement of SEK 13 million ($1.5 million) was achieved through solid sales growth and a stable gross margin, even though we had higher costs in the quarter related to various marketing campaigns.

Operating EBITA reached SEK 69 million ($7.9 million), or 8.8%. EBITA increased by 28% in the 1Q and amounted to SEK 64 million ($7.4 million), corresponding to 8.2%.

President and CEO Christer Persson comments: ”Kährs Group performed well during the 1Q 2017, with increased sales and improved operating profit. All four segments contributed to the sales increase of 13%, with the strongest growth in the Nordics and Resilient Global segments, which grew by 18% and 27%, respectively.”
