Laakirchen Papier AG in Austria has put the converted paper machine PM10 back into operation. The 10-week conversion of the PM10 from SC paper production to the production of light-weight containerboard based on recycled paper was finished on schedule, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

“The PM10 has produced the first paper reels. In the coming days, we are concentrating together with the machine suppliers on stable paper quality and productivity,” said Mark Lunabba, CEO of Laakirchen Papier AG, regarding the current production status.

Laakirchen Papier AG is one of Europe's leading manufacturer of super-calendered SC paper. The mill was built in 1867 and since 2013 has been a subsidiary of the internationally operative Heinzel Group.
