Mac Papers appoints Scott Riley as its director of digital papers and media. The position was formerly held by Matt Adams, who was named general manager of the company’s Jacksonville branch.

Riley will lead the strategic direction of the Digital Papers and Media segment and provide related sales and marketing support to the branches. He will also continue development of the company’s digital training program.

“Scott brings solid market knowledge to the role,” said Steve Collins, vice president of purchasing. “Through industry analysis and ongoing dialogue with core suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Scott will help ensure we provide the best products and solutions to our customers in this growing segment.”

Riley joined Mac Papers as a sales representative in April 2008. He served as general manager of the Montgomery, Ala., branch for three years before joining the wide format and graphics team at the company’s headquarters office. Riley holds a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.

Mac Papers is one of the largest wholesale distributors in the Southeast United States. The company is a distribution partner for paper and print, packaging, facility supplies and office products.
