Mac Papers has added a senior-level position in its paper business segment and has tapped Mac Papers veteran Craig Boortz for the leadership role. As Vice President of Sales, Paper, Boortz will be responsible for the performance of the company’s largest business segment, planning and overseeing the development and execution of the sales and marketing strategy for the paper business.

Mac Papers promotes Craig Boortz to new role of Vice President of Sales, Paper

Mac Papers has added a senior-level position in its paper business segment and has tapped Mac Papers veteran Craig Boortz for the leadership role, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

As Vice President of Sales, Paper, Boortz will be responsible for the performance of the company’s largest business segment, planning and overseeing the development and execution of the sales and marketing strategy for the paper business. Boortz retains his regional management responsibilities and reports directly to Mac Papers CEO David McGehee.

Boortz joined Mac Papers as an account manager at the company’s Tampa branch in 1992, shortly after completing the Masters of Business Administration program at the University of Tampa. He progressed within three years into branch leadership roles, initially as General Manager of Greensboro and then Greenville. In January 2014, Boortz` was promoted to Vice President and Regional Manager.

Mac Papers is one of the largest wholesale distributors in the Southeastern U.S. The company is a distribution partner for paper and print, packaging, facility supplies and office products.
