Metsä Board invests in a second baling line at its Kaskinen mill in Finland

Metsä Board, part of Metsä Group, is investing in a second baling line at its Kaskinen mill in Finland. The line will be taken into use during November–December 2018. The value of the investment is Euro 6 million, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The investment will increase the annual capacity by a further 30,000 tonnes to 370,000 tonnes and will help the mill respond to growing demand. The BCTMP produced in Kaskinen is used both for Metsä Board’s folding boxboard production as well as for market pulp.

Metsä Board is a leading European producer of premium fresh fibre paperboards including folding boxboards, food service boards and white kraftliners. Metsä Board Kaskinen is one of the largest and most modern BCTMP mills in the world.
