Ponsse's consolidated net sales for 1H 2016 amounted to Euro 237.1 million, which is 14.8% more than in 1H 2015, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The operating result amounted to Euro 26.2 million. The operating result equalled 11.1% of net sales for the period under review.

Consolidated return on capital employed (ROCE) stood at 30.9%. Order intake for the period totalled Euro 252.1 million, while period-end order books were valued at Euro 166.1 million.

President and CEO Juho Nummela, said: “Demand for PONSSE forest machines continued to be good. Order intake was good during the 2Q 2016, and the order books increased compared to the previous quarter. The order books were strong, totalling Euro 166.1 million at the end of the period under review. International business operations accounted for 77.9% of net sales.

“The company's net sales for the 2Q 2016 were Euro 122 million and the growth in net sales was 5.7%. The operating profit for the 2Q amounted to Euro 14.1 million.”
