Södra’s net sales up 12% in 1Q

Södra’s operating profit for the 1Q 2017 totalled SEK 451 million ($51 million), compared to SEK 249 million ($28.2 million) in 1Q 2016, representing an operating margin of 9%. Profit before tax amounted to SEK 430 million ($48.7 million). Tax expense for the period was SEK 57 million ($6.4 million), as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

1Q operating profit before depreciation, amortisation and impairment (EBITDA) was SEK 761 million ($86.2 million), compared to SEK 484 million ($54.8 million) in 1Q 2016.

In the 1Q, consolidated net sales amounted to SEK 5,098 million ($577 million), up 12%. Growth in all business areas was in line with expectations.
