Siempelkamp increases to 45% its shareholding in Pallmann

Jan 22, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH has increased its minority shareholding in Pallmann Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Zweibrücken, Germany, to 45%.

Back in April of 2012 the Krefeld specialist for machine and plant engineering acquired via its subsidiary Siempelkamp Maschinenfabrik Beteiligungs GmbH a qualified minority stake in Pallmann Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG and Ludwig Pallmann Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH. Siempelkamp recently increased this shareholding from 25.1% to 45%.

As the specialist for size reduction and preparation technology Pallmann plays an important part in Siempelkamp’s service chain. The machines for size reduction and material prepara-tion for the wood-based products industry integrate perfectly into the Siempelkamp range of products for the front-end of the line.

Pallmann also complements the product range of the Siempelkamp Group with the area of recycling technology which the company has specifically developed over many years. The company supplies high-performing recycling machines tailored to the needs of modern recycling plants to produce valuable secondary raw materials. “Perfectly functioning technology, specific material preparation, and sophisticated logistics concepts,” is the motto of the system supplier.

The professional recycling of residual and waste wood for the marketing and reuse in the wood-based products industry or for thermal and energetic use is of great importance. Next to waste wood recycling, Pallmann also researches and develops solutions for the recycling of plastics, flooring and metal materials, and used tires. The scope of supply includes a wide range of machines for these competence areas, for example, hammer mills, screen basket mills, double stream mills, double shaft shredders, single shaft shredders, shearing ledge shredders, turbofiners, and turbo mills. These economic recycling machines and plants utilize waste and residual materials, open up new raw material sources, and reduce pollutants and greenhouse gases.
