Slovenia's roundwood purchased from private owners in August 2018 was worth Euro 4.2 million, which is about 2% less than in the previous month, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 1% and of pulpwood by almost 18%. The values of purchased wood fuel and other industrial roundwood were higher than in the previous month (by almost 27% and by about 1%, respectively).

The value of roundwood purchased from private owners in August 2018 was almost 29% lower than in August 2017, mainly due to the lower quantity of purchased wood. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 38%, while the values of purchased other categories of roundwood were higher: of wood fuel by more than three times, of pulpwood by about 2% and of other industrial roundwood by almost 36%.
