Sveaskog's 2Q net sales decreased by 1%

Sveaskog's 2Q 2016 net sales decreased by 1% to SEK 1,675 million, compared to SEK 1,700 million in 2Q 2015. Total delivery volumes were largely unchanged compared with the corresponding period in the previous year while average prices were 2% lower, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Earnings operating profit from continuing operations increased by 46% to SEK 297 million ($34.7 million). Delivery volumes from own forests were unchanged while prices decreased by an average of 2%.

2Q 2016 profit decreased by 7%, mainly attributable to change in value of forest assets, to SEK 364 million ($42.5 million).

1H 2016 net sales decreased by 3% to SEK 3,151 million. Delivery volumes decreased by 1% and average prices fell by 2%. Earnings operating profit from continuing operations increased by 4% to SEK 646 million ($75.5 million).

Profit for the period decreased by 14%, mainly attributable to change in value of forest assets, to SEK 693 million ($81 million).
