Uniboard announced $38.5 million investment for its Val-d’Or facility in Quebec, Canada, and is the second phase of a major upgrade project to build a world-class particleboard and thermally fused laminate (TFL) facility in Val-d’Or. This new round of modernization will focus on screening, sifting, milling and intermediary storage equipment which will lay the foundation for the following phases of upgrading the Val-d’Or press and finishing lines.

With the installation of new state-of-the art, innovative equipment, Uniboard is pursuing its vision of operational and product excellence for its Val-d’Or facility. The project’s new dry preparation capabilities will substantially improve fiber processing efficiency and also involves a new building with state-of-the-art protection safety systems for employees.
