Välinge files a lawsuit for patent infringement against Oneflor Europe

Välinge has filed a lawsuit for patent infringement against the Belgian entity Oneflor Europe. The lawsuit, filed in the District Court of Mannheim in Germany, asserts unauthorized use of Välinge’s patented technology, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The patent in suit concerns certain thermoplastic planks (often referred to as LVT, WPC, EPC and/or SPC products) with mechanical locking system. The products at issue are manufactured with the 3L TripleLock system under license from the company Innovations4Flooring.

The filed complaint seeks injunctive relief, as well as a declaration of liability for damages, for infringing luxury vinyl flooring products being distributed by Oneflor Europe on the German market. The complaint further seeks a recall of the infringing products, whereby Oneflor Europe’s commercial customers in Germany are requested to return already purchased products.
