Edge Glued Panels Manufacturing Process

1. The Lumber Cutting Process
- Round wood is being sliced into unedged boards and blocks in sawmills using the rotation band saw LLK-2I tool.

-The unedged boards are sent to the finished lumber product warehouse. The blocks are sliced again using the band saw LD-1 tool and are also stored at the lumber warehouse wrapped in thick plastic.

2. The Lumber Drying Process

- The unedged boards from the finished lumber product warehouse arrive to the Steam Chambers Eisenmann Maschinenbau (2 chambers, each chamber takes up to 50 m3). The steaming process lasts up to 8 hours at 95°С. However this process sometimes may take anywhere from 20 to 40 hours depending on the desired lumber color.

-The lumber is being cooled after that and loaded into the kiln driers Eisenmann Maschinenbau (4 KD, each takes up to 200m3 at a time)
- The lumber drying process is programmed and controlled by the computer. The average drying process takes anywhere from 25 to 30 days

- After the drying process is over and the lumber is checked for the required moisture levels (6-7%), the lumber is moved to the edge-glued panel production shop.

The Production Process

- Step 1 The dried lumber is being cut along-the-grain into strips using the Raimann IR-KM310 rip saw (Vielblattkreissäge INTERHOLZ Raimann IR-KM310)

- Step 2: Four-sided planing and sizing of rough stock with a superior finish using an automatic high-speed planer/moulder WEINIG Hydromat 23 (Hobel-/Kehlautomat WEINIG Hydromat 23)

- Step 3: Automatic marked defect cutting using new automated crosscut line GreCon-Dimter OPTICUT 350-4. Fixed length boards for the step 5

- Step 4: Horizontal fingerjointing using High-production horizontal joint line (up to 120 lugs per minute) Grecon-Dimter HS120

- Step 5: Four-sided surfacing of separate strips (fingerjointed and solid fixed length strips) using WEINIG Unimat Super VI planer/moulder. (Hobel- und Kehlautomat WEINIG Unimat Super VI)

- Step 6: The gluing of the high-quality wood panels using the intelligent edge-gluing press
GreCon-Dimter Profipress P5500 (Plattenpresse GreCon-Dimter Profipress P5500)

- Step 7: formatting the length of the wood panel using double cross cut saw Eima120(Doppel-Abkürzkreissäge Eima 120)

- Step 8: double-sided surface finishing of the wood panel using Butfering Vega 313 wide belt sander (Breitbandschleifmaschinem Butfering Modell Vega 313)

- Step 9: Packaging

- Step 10: Storing at warehouse
