For the 4Q 2014, Acadian Timber Corp. generated net sales of $22.5 million ($17.8 million) on sales volume of 361 thousand cubic metres, which represents a $0.7 million ($0.6 million), or 3%, increase in net sales compared to the same period in 2013, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. 

A 10% year-over-year increase in the weighted average log selling price drove Adjusted EBITDA for the 4Q 2014 to $7.5 million ($5.9 million), a $1.3 million ($1 million) increase from the 4Q 2013, while Adjusted EBITDA margin increased to 33% from 28% in the same period of last year.

"Acadian had another strong quarter," said Reid Carter, CEO of Acadian. "Prices for the majority of our products continued to be well above prior years, taking Adjusted EBITDA to its highest level for a fourth quarter since inception of the company."

For the year ended December 31, 2014, Acadian generated net sales of $77.4 million ($61.3 million) on sales volume of 1,307 thousand cubic metres as compared to net sales of $74.4 million ($59 million) on sales volume of 1,383 thousand cubic metres in 2013. A 10% increase in the average log selling price along with focused cost containment resulted in Adjusted EBITDA climbing $4.3 million ($3.4 million) from 2013 to $21.8 million ($17.3 million).
