Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment appointed Bertil Heerink as new Director General

Apr 29, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. The Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment (ACE) appointed Bertil Heerink as the new Director General for ACE.

Mr Heerink, a Dutch national, has had a long and distinguished career in the area of European public affairs and association management. For many years he served at the Dutch Environment Ministry, Permanent Representation to the EU, and European Commission, until he later joined the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) as director of EU government affairs. Since 2002 he was a Director General of Cosmetics Europe and was providing strategic advice for Kellen Europe before taking up his duties as ACE Director General.

His extensive experience and expertise in public affairs and association management will undoubtedly benefit our association, reinforcing ACE’s contribution to helping the EU realise its goals for a resource-efficient, green and competitive low-carbon economy.”

The Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment provides a European platform for beverage carton manufacturers and their paperboard suppliers to benchmark and profile cartons as renewable, recyclable and low-carbon packaging solutions.
