Austrian Holzindustrie Schweighofer to invest Euro 3.0 million in Romanian plant

Austrian timber processing company Holzindustrie Schweighofer will invest Euro 3.0 million to install a line for production of pallets from sawdust at its plant in Sebes, near Bucharest. The pallets will be offered both on the domestic and foreign markets. The company has already invested Euro 64 million in its Sebes plant, located some 250 kilometers northwest of capital Bucharest.
Schweighofer Holzindustrie plans to invest Euro 270 million in a timber factory in Suceava, northeastern Romania. The construction of the plant is to start in spring 2006.
