Belarus Republic plans to purchase domestic forestry technique worth $33 million in 2007-2010

Enterprises of forestry ministry of Belarus Republic plans to purchase domestic forestry and harvesting technique worth BYR 71.6 billion ($33 million) in 2007-2010, representative of the ministry said. Enterprises in the sector intend to buy 59 forwarders and 275 forestry tractors produced by Minsk tractor factory and Amkodor, 158 short log trucks with trailers produced by Minsk automobile factory, 218 hydraulic manipulators produced by Mozyr engineering plant, and other technique. In 2007 Belarusian forestries will purchase 9 forwarders, 3 harvesters, 60 tractors MTZ, 30 short log trucks with trailers, 45 forest load-haul-dump machines worth BYR 15.9 billion ($7.4 million). In 2008 expenses of forest industry enterprises on harvesting technique will rise to BYR 18.1 billion ($8.4 million), in 2009 – to BYR 18.6 billion ($8.6 million), in 2010 – to BYR 19 billion ($8.8 million). At present, Minleskhoz enterprises harvesting technique park comprises 725 Belarusian and Russian lumber tractors, 83 short log trucks MAZ, 2005 tractors and forwarders, mainly MTZ produced.
