In the 2Q 2018 Bio Pappel obtained an EBITDA of $1,237 million pesos ($65 million), representing a 17.7% of margin on sales and a 31% growth compared to the same quarter of the previous year, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

In the 2Q, sales increased 15% from $6,078 million pesos ($320 million) in the 2Q 2017 to $6,976 million pesos ($367 million) in 2018. This was due to a 7% increase in shipments, comparing 422 thousand tons in the 2Q 2017 with 451 thousand tons this quarter of brown paper, white paper, corrugated packaging and notebooks.

Additionally, Bio Pappel reflected a 7% increase in the average unit price from $15,460 pesos ($814) in this quarter compared to $14,416 pesos ($579) in the same quarter in 2017, due to the sale of higher value-added products.
