Canada's lumber production declined 9.1% from June to July, with sawmills producing 5 200.9 thousand cubic metres of lumber. Production was 1.9% lower than in July 2016, as Statistics Canada said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Sawmills shipped 5 458.8 thousand cubic metres of lumber in July, down 5.2% from June and 0.8% lower than in July 2016.
