Lumber production in Canada rose 5.6% from April to 6 100.0 thousand cubic metres of lumber in May. Production was 5.8% higher than May 2016, as Statistics Canada said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Sawmills shipped 5 928.0 thousand cubic metres of lumber in May, up 0.7% from April and 2.4% higher than in May 2016.
