Contract deal for Howe Sound Pulp and Paper

Jul 14, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Unionized workers and Howe Sound Pulp and Paper have reached a tentative deal on a new four-year labor contract, Reuters reported. Terms of the deal were not released, but the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union said it included a pay raise and matches a contract agreement the union announced with Canfor Pulp. Howe Sound, with a facility on the British Columbia coast near Vancouver, is a joint partnership of Canfor Corp. and Oji Paper Co.
