Crown Van Gelder invests in a soft calender for paper machine 1 which is part of an investment program totalling Euro 20 million in the past 2 years. This Soft Calender is supplied by Andritz Küsters GmbH from Germany and is being installed during January, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The new soft calender provides improved smoothness of the paper surface and it enables to further strengthen company's market position in high speed inkjet, label and packaging papers.
Crown Van Gelder produces specialties for graphical and industrial applications in the woodfree uncoated and single-coated paper sector.
