Egger to start commissioning of a new TC-kiln at its Hochsauerland mill in late November 2016

Egger Brilon in Germany's Hochsauerland invested in Valutec's TC continuous kiln this spring. Commissioning is scheduled for late November, as Valutec said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

In a TC continuous kiln, timber package are fed length-wise through zones in which the air circulates laterally across the drying channel. This enables the separate regulation of the climate in different zones according to a schedule that comes very close to the ideal schedule of a batch kiln.

Egger's kiln will be used for spruce to a target moisture content of 18%.

Egger is one of the leading European groups in the wood-based material industry.
