Essity to close tissue production facility in La Riba and tissue machine at Allo mill in Spain

To further increase efficiency, Essity is restructuring its Consumer Tissue production in Spain. The restructuring measures to be implemented in 2018 include the closure of the production facility in La Riba and the closure of one tissue machine at the production facility in Allo, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The restructuring costs are expected to amount to approximately SEK 245 million ($61 million), of which approximately SEK 205 million ($24.4 million) will be recognized as an item affecting comparability in the 2Q 2018. The remaining costs will be recognized as an item affecting comparability in the 4Q 2018. Approximately SEK 110 million ($13 million) of the restructuring costs is expected to affect cash flow.
