Oct 09, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Japan’s imports of office furniture fell sharply dropping 26% from July and year -on -year August 2015 office furniture imports were down a massive 42%, ITTO reports.

The top three suppliers in August were China, Italy (the new comer), Portugal and Taiwan another new comer to the top league of suppliers.

Office furniture imports from China were down 24% in August while imports from Italy tripled. Portugal’s supply of office furniture declined in August compared to a month earlier.

Unlike imports of kitchen and bedroom furniture, SE Asian suppliers do not feature significantly in the office furniture market in Japan.
