Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill completed modernization of the second process flow of tissue paper production in Ukraine. Modernization took place in two stages, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
At the first stage, in partnership with company A.Celli Paper s.p.a, was realised installation of the new Pope reel and press section modernization. As a result, the quality of paper web winding on the spool improved, the crepe level of the base paper increased, the speed of the TM-2 increased to 1,200 m/min, and production increased by 25%.
At the second stage, thanks to the launch of the new screens from Andritz company and the reconstruction of the pulper, the company achieved an increase in the production of the second process flow from 200 tons a.s.c./day to 400 tons a.s.c./day, which made it possible to enable operation of the TM-1 and TM-2 in the production of base paper from waste paper.
