Production at Metsä Wood's new Kerto® LVL line in Lohja has started. The construction project has progressed according to plan and in schedule. The investment is part of Metsä Wood's Euro 100 million investment program for Kerto® LVL and plywood, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
At the Lohja mill, three Kerto LVL production lines were operating until the end of last year. With the investment, one of the old lines has been dismantled and another old line is being run down by the end of 2017.
The new Kerto LVL line increases the mill’s production capacity by 20,000 cubic metres per year. The mill has a total capacity of 120,000 cubic metres. The new line will reach full capacity within one year.
