Moelven Valåsen AB rebuilds its dry sorter

RemaSawco has received SEK 16 million ($1.7 million) order from Moelven Valåsen AB comprising rebuilding and additions to the dry sorter at its sawmill in Sweden. The order includes RS-BoardScannerQ with automatic strength grading. Also, a new control system and adaptations to the existing mechanical solution are included, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

”This is one of the biggest orders that RemaSawco has ever received. At the same time, it's a pleasure to receive the confidence in taking the full responsibility for the project", says Mikael Jacobsson, Business Development Manager at RemaSawco.

“With this investment, Moelven Valåsen is getting rid of a production bottle neck in the dry sorter. It means that production volumes and dependability can increase", says Fredrik Wallenstad, Managing Director at Moelven Valåsen AB. “By chosing RS-BoardscannerQ, we will have the possibility to fully implement the AIT concept. Having access to touchless strength grading functions, we can sort constructional wood and glulam products to the highest quality," Wallenstad continues.

RemaSawco is a modern, innovative and original company working within the sawmill industry. The products consist of sophisticated measurement techniques covering the entire process from log sorters to dry sorters and planers.
