Mondi confirms that on 21 August 2014 it has informed its employee representatives about the planned shutdown of paper machine one at its Lohja mill in Finland effective approximately 30 June 2015. The consultation process with all the mill´s employees will start immediately, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Mondi´s Lohja mill currently employs some 170 people and a maximum of 75 employees are estimated to be affected by this restructuring.

Mondi Lohja produces coated and uncoated speciality kraft papers for the release liner and release base markets, the medical, food packaging and food service markets.
