North American Wholesale Lumber Assn. (NAWLA) appoints Scott Parker as executive director. Scott is an executive with a successful track record of leading associations. He has over 15 years of senior level experience in management, business development and working with boards of directors.
He currently serves as the associate executive director of the Water Quality Association. Prior to WQA, Scott served as the director of membership and career services at APICS - an association representing the supply chain and logistics industries. Needless to say, while he will hit the ground running to learn about the forest products industry, his previous experience is naturally transferrable to association management within our industry. We are confident Scott is the right choice to lead the NAWLA staff.
There will be an approximately two-week timeframe where both Marc Saracco and Scott Parker will be on board, allowing ample time for transition.
