Northern Pulp Nova Scotia adds John Hamm to Board of Directors

Former Premier John Hamm has been named to the Board of Directors for the recently established company that now owns the pulp mill in Abercrombie - Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corporation, The Nova Scotia Business Journal reported. Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corporation was created following the sale of the mill by Neenah Paper earlier this year. Company CEO Keith Johnson says they're encouraged to have Hamm help set the direction for the company, and adds the need for strong leadership at the Board level is essential at a time when the forestry sector is facing significant challenges. Northern Pulp's Board will help guide the overall direction of the business for the mill, which for the first time in its 40-year history is a stand alone market pulp business.
