Jun 27, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Oji Paper Co. announced that it has established a Chinese sales unit, Oji Paper Trading Co., in Nantong. The new company is owned 90% by Oji Paper and 5% each by Japan Pulp and Paper Co. and Kokusai Pulp & Paper Co. Sales are slated to start on a pilot basis between August and September.
Oji Paper Trading will sell products imported from the Japanese parent and expand its sales channels before Oji Paper's Chinese production unit, Jiangsu Oji Paper Co., starts operation in 2010. After the manufacturing plant begins output, Oji Paper Trading will exclusively handle the products.
