Polish personal hygiene products maker Hygienika SA reported a PLN 3.3 million ($969 100) net loss for the period from January to September 2005, compared to a PLN 576 000 ($169 200) net profit for the first nine months of 2004. The company posted a PLN 2.6 million ($763 500) operating loss, compared to a PLN 1.1 million ($323 000) operating profit. The sales revenue fell to PLN 20.1 million ($5.9 million) from PLN 31.3 million ($9.2 million). Hygienika was established in 1992. Hygienika offers its products under own brands, including Bambino disposable baby diapers and Linell panty shields, and under the private labels of the largest retail networks operating countrywide.
