Ponsse appoints Tommi Väänänen as Director of supply chain

Oct 29, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Tommi Väänänen has been appointed as Director of Ponsse Plc's supply chain process starting from 1 November, 2015, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

In his new position, Tommi Väänänen will be responsible for an area which covers functions from the receipt of customer orders all the way to production and the delivery of machines.

Tommi Väänänen's appointment is related to the changes in the organizational structure issued in August. Ponsse's new organisational structure is based on three main processes: sales and service, R&D and the supply chain. Jarmo Vidgrén, sales and marketing director, will continue in the management of sales and service, Juha Inberg, technology and R&D director, will be responsible for R&D and Tommi Väänänen will start in the management of the new supply chain process.

Tommi Väänänen will transfer to his new post from the position of Ponsse Plc's purchasing director which he held since October 2013, being responsible for Ponsse Group's purchasing and logistics operations.

Väänänen will continue as a member of Ponsse Plc’s Management Team. Due to changes in the Group's management, the Group's Management Team will be reduced to consist of 7 members instead of the previous 8.

Ponsse Plc specialises in the sales, production, maintenance and technology of cut-to-length method forest machines.
