Ponsse net sales increased by 26.4% in 1H 2014

Aug 29, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Ponsse’s consolidated net sales for the 1H 2014 amounted to Euro 183.6 million, which is 26.4% more than in the comparison period. International business operations accounted for 73.5% of net sales, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. 

Net sales were regionally distributed as follows: Northern Europe 39.8%, Central and Southern Europe 21.4%, Russia and Asia 15.2%, North and South America 23.6%.

The operating result amounted to Euro 18 million in first six month of 2014, which has an increase of 112%. The operating result equalled 9.8% of net sales for the period under review. Consolidated return on capital employed (ROCE) stood at 28.3%.

Order intake for the period totalled Euro 209.5 million, while period-end order books were valued at Euro 124.6 million.

President and CEO Juho Nummela said: “The demand for forest machines was at an extremely good level during the past quarter. The operating result amounted to Euro 10.6 million during the 2Q, equalling 10.9% of net sales.”
