Ponsse’s consolidated net sales in 2018 amounted to Euro 612.4 million, which is 6.2% more than in 2017. Profit before taxes was Euro 56.3 million, compared to Euro 57.8 million in 2017, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Net sales were regionally distributed as follows: Northern Europe 37.6%, Central and Southern Europe 20%, Russia and Asia 22.5%, North and South America 19.2% and other countries 0.7%.

The operating result amounted to Euro 61.7 million in 2018. The operating result equalled 10.1% of net sales for 2018. Consolidated return on capital employed (ROCE) stood at 22.6%.

Order intake for 2018 totalled Euro 785.7 million, while period-end order books were valued at Euro 294.9 million.

President and CEO Juho Nummela said: “The year 2018 was a busy one as a result of high demand, the significant factory investment and challenges in the availability of components. For Ponsse, the year was an excellent success and, despite the highly challenging situation, our profitability was more than 10% and our cash flow was high at Euro 61 million. We were able to continue our growth, even though the ramp-up of the Vieremä factory limited the use of our capacity. We manufactured nearly the same number of Ponsse forest machines as in the record year of 2017.”

Ponsse Plc is a company specialising in the sales, manufacture, servicing and technology of cut-to-length method forest machines.
