During the first half of the year, Ponsse’s net sales were Euro 258.7 million, giving a growth in net sales of 9.1%, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The operating result for the 1H 2017 was Euro 28.2 million, giving an operating margin of 10.9%. Order intake for the 1H 2017 totalled Euro 280.9 million, while period-end order books were valued at Euro 141.4 million.

In the 2Q 2017, the company’s net sales was Euro 128.8 million, which is a growth in net sales of 5.5%, compared to the reference period. Net sales for after sales services continued to increase strongly. The growth in the net sales of after sales services is affected by the significant global growth in machine stock, especially in areas where the annual usage rate of machinery is high.The operating result for the 2Q 2017 was Euro 13.9 million, giving an operating margin of 10.8%.

President and CEO Juho Nummela said: "In the 2Q, demand for Ponsse forest machines remained good. Order flow was
strong, and the value of the order book at the end of the period under review was Euro 141.4 million. The Russian market in particular is extremely brisk. The market situation in the Nordic countries and in Germany and France in Central Europe is also good.”
