Prices for logs in Russia increased 2.6% in June 2015

Jul 13, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. The logs prices in Russia increased 2.6% in June 2015, according to ‘Logs prices review’ released by Research Department of Lesprom Network. The prices continue to grow after increase 3% in May.

Prices for hardwood pulpwood (6-16 cm, 6 m, grade 1-3) and hardwood sawlogs (16-30 cm, 3-6 m) grew by 4% compared to May. Prices for softwood logs rose by 1.5%.

In June, prices for logs increased due to the continuing decline of logging in Russia, as well as growth in demand from Asian importers. In July, experts predict stagnation in prices.
