RemaSawco AB received an order from Nydala Trävaru AB in Sweden. The order sum amounts to SEK 2.8 million ($330,836) and comprises an RS-BoardScannerP to the green sorter line in the sawmill, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

RS-BoardScannerP, a version of RS-BoardScannerQ containing tracheid technology, performs normal dimension measurements as well as quality sorting and defect detection such as knots and rot. This means that the sawmill can control and raise the quality hit rate and yield already in the green sorter.

“RS-BoardScannerQ has now been sold to a number of large sawmills in the Swedish marketplace and also to Norway, the Baltic region, USA and Russia. In addition, our new application for touchless strength grading - RS-StrengthGrader - has been received very well with several orders signed in a short period of time”, says Peter Johansson, Managing Director of Image Systems AB.

”With RS-BoardScannerP we receive a modern system with high performance, including new functionality previously not available. Also contributing to our preference for the RemaSawco solution was that they could offer a retrofit solution on our existing equipment and a quick commissioning time with little impact for our production", says Ingemar Lindman, Managing Director of Nydala Trävaru AB.

RemaSawco is a modern, innovative and original company working within the sawmill industry.
