Russian Babaevsky timber enterprise (owned by Cherepovetsles) reported timber production up 1% to 108 thousand cub m within 3 months in 2004 compared with the prior period in 2003, Cherepovetsles public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. Assortment timber production increased 14% to 31,7 thousand cub m. Logs removal increased 4% to 115 thousand cub m, cross-cutting – up 2% to 110 thousand cub m. Round timber production – up 5% to 79,9 thousand cub m. Commodity production sales – up 1%.
