May 19, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Belozersky reported timber production up 11% to 30,9 thousand cub m in April 2004, Cherepovetsles public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. Logs removal declined 22% to 32,4% compared with the prior period in 2003. Cross-cutting increased 4% to 49,1 thousand cub m, sawn timber production – up 13% to 6,1 thousand cub m, commodity products – up 5%, assortment production – up 15% to 3,8 thousand cub m. Round timber production declined 3% to 38 thousand cub m in April 2004 compared with the prior period in 2003.
