Russian Cherepovetsles Maintained the 2002 Timber Fell Level of 952,4 Thousand Cub M

Russian Cherepovetsles timber-industry holding company (Vologda-region, one of the North-West region largest timber-industry companies) maintained the 2002 timber production level of 952,4 cubh m (+9% above plan) in 2003. Belozersky timber mill is a leader in timber fell - 453 thousand cub m (Cherepovetsles owns 4 timber-mills). Commercial production rates went up by 18% and 10% above plan. Cherepovetsles enterprises reduced round saw-timber production by 1% to 762,6 thousand cub m (+13 below plan), saw-timber production increased by 18% to 59,7 thousand cub m (+3% above plan) Timber exports declined by 2% to 971,5 thousand cub m (11% above plan), timber cross-cutting reduced by 1% to 971,4 thousand cub m (+9%). Timer trunk stores was 74,3 thousand cub m by October,1 (+5,4$ compared with January-October 2002).
