Russian Vashkinsky Reported Timber Production up 9% in January 2004

Russian Vashkinsky timber mill (owned by Cherepovetsles) increased timber production 9% to 27,4 thousand cub m (2% below plan) in January 2004 compared with the prior period in 2003, timber exports increased 38% to 38,7 thousand cub m (29% above plan), company’s public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. Cross-cutting increased 47% to 29,5 thousand cub m (40% above plan), round timber production - up 47% to 23,6 thousand cub m (41% above plan), commercial production sales increased 84% to RUR 17,5 million (40% above plan). Vishkinsky timber mill increased assortment production 147% to 9,4 thousand cub m (47% above plan) compared with the prior period in 2003.
