Russian Vashkinsky timber enterprise (owned by Cherepovestles) reported timber production up 10% to 84 thousand cub m within 3 months in 2004 compared with the prior period in 2003, Cherepovetsles public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. Assortment timber production remained unchanged at 27,2 thousand cub m. Logs removal increased 9% to 120 thousand cub m within 3 months in 2004, cross-cutting – up 20% to 89,7 thousand cub m. Round timber production increased 20% to 71,2 thousand cub m, sawn timber – up 20% to 0,6 thousand cub m. Commodity production sales increased 60%.
