Södra to increase softwood pulp in Europe to $830 per tonne

As a result of stronger global market and stable demand, Södra will increase softwood pulp in Europe to $830 per tonne, company announced Friday. The new price applies from June 1, 2016.

"Fresh market statistics confirm the positive signals we have already noted, the market for softwood pulp is strong and we expect that the situation will improve further," says Magnus Björkman, Vice President of Södra Cell.
