Sherwood Lumber Corp. announced the grand opening of its newest distribution center located in Northern California.
“Sherwood Lumber opened the doors to its first distribution center back in 1956, and today the Company operates a myriad of regional distribution and reload facilities from coast-to-coast providing first-class customer service and products to our diverse customer base,” said Kyle Little, COO of Sherwood Lumber. “This expansion is very exciting for our company, and is the second phase of our regional growth plan which was first announced with the opening of our California sales office on January 9th of this year.”
The Company’s new Stockton facility features an 80,000 sqft. warehouse, and 4 acres of outside storage and staging area for their Engineered Wood Products “cut & pack” services. Stockton will offer a wide range of products for wholesale distribution including: western plywood, sanded plywood, concrete form, pressure treated plywood, fire treated plywood, FSC plywood, OSB, dimension lumber, fire treated lumber, cedar shakes & shingles, engineered wood products, glulam beams & columns.
Stockton is rail-served by both UP and BNSF carriers, and capable of receiving inbound center beam, boxcar, and intermodal shipments. There are also waterborne opportunities utilizing the Port of Stockton which is the 3rd largest general cargo port facility in California.
