Slovenia: The value of purchased roundwood decreased by 22% in August

Slovenia's roundwood purchased from private owners in August 2017 was worth Euro 5.9 million, which is 15% more than in the previous month, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The values of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs, and of pulpwood were higher by about 19% and 4%, respectively, while the values of purchased other industrial roundwood and of wood fuel were lower by about 26% and 42%, respectively.
The value of roundwood purchased from private owners in August 2017 was 22% lower than in August 2016, mainly due to the lower quantity of purchased wood.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 23%, of other industrial roundwood by almost 10% and of wood fuel by about 64%. The value of purchased pulpwood was almost the same as a year ago.
